Curriculum

At Willow International school, your child will have access to a world-class education. Inspired by the rigorous framework of the British curriculum and the well-researched Reggio Emilia philosophy, we have developed our own curriculum, the Willow International School Curriculum, which is entirely bespoke to our school.

Our lessons are personalised, structured to include a problem-solving approach, and are delivered in a manner that truly values the holistic development of our pupils.

Additionally, our early years educators are committed to preparing children for a seamless transition to a lifelong learning mindset. This is central to our curriculum and ensures all our pupils are ready not just for their academic challenges, but their future.

Early Years Foundation Stage

The EYFS framework is based on guidelines that stem from children’s developmental requirements in the early years. It provides a timeline and informs us of milestones which helps educators focus on building developmentally-appropriate skills. This ensures that a standardized approach is implemented with no child left behind and allows us to provide the correct opportunities so that each child has a fair chance to reach their full potential.

Progress/Assessments

The assessment system at Willow is in place to both account for individual differences and allow flexibility in our mechanisms such that a child does not have to change or feel left out as part of any educational system. Any approach to teaching is only as good as the response it gets from the intended. For success, it is important for teachers to be aware of the abilities of any child as well as the approach they are most receptive to. Our team consists of behavior therapists and trained facilitators who are there to look through the lens of developmentally-mandated progress and identify where additional help is needed for any child.
